If you already deliver for one of the 3rd party delivery services like Doordash or Grubhub, this might be for you. If you don’t have delivery experience, but you have a reliable vehicle, a good driving record and appropriate insurance, you might also be interested. If you want to work, and also want the freedom to not have a set schedule, this might be the perfect thing. We call it Driver Brigade, and here’s how it works:
We train you on PX driving protocol. You join our GroupMe group. When one of our stores are in need of help, the manager will post to GroupMe. If you want the shift, just quickly reply to the post. We only ask that you arrive at the store quickly and ready for work. You’ll clock in, because you are our employee, covered by our worker’s compensation insurance and also have other benefits that the 3rd party systems don’t offer, like a 50% discount on food, anniversary bonus, and priority hiring should you ever decide you prefer scheduled shifts. Once the rush is over, you will be the first driver to leave (unless you have chosen to work a shift with an estimated end time).
At the end of your shift, you walk away with all cash tips and a mileage reimbursement of $1.75 per delivery. Your hourly rate pay and credit card tips are included in your bi-weekly payroll check. Based on current driver data, you can expect to earn between $18-24 per hour all combined.
Worried about COVID-19? So are we, so the good news is that almost all deliveries are “no contact,” meaning no face-to-face interaction with customers. We provide bandannas to cover your face and nose to reduce the risk of the spread of the virus. We also provide personal sanitizer spray bottles to use between deliveries. Finally, the store in which you work follows stringent guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitized environment to keep our staff and customers safe.
